Landscapes explores the intersection of two groove-based movement practices and is created for two dancers with backgrounds in house and folk dance.
Inspired by couple dance as a phenomenon and pulse as a medium the work explores how similarities and differences can be passed on between the dancers in order to create new and fleeting landscapes of crafts and experiences.
A work that strives to give the audience an experience of being immersed in the dance rather than watching it from a distance.
“Because with Anna Öberg something else arises, through how the choreography and the space is created the senses are sharpened so that every detail, sound fragment or movement appears significant to the whole. /.../
It is noticeable that something is at stake in Landscapes.”
Premiere at Dansens hus, Stockholm April 23-25 2025. Will also be performed at Rosendal Teater, Trondheim 2-3 of May 2025 and CiK Knivsta 25th of September 2025 and touring through Dalateatern, Falun Sept 22-23 2025.
The dance film Landscapes in Process was shown at Oslo Pix Film Festival/ SHORTS: Exhibition Program // Pix on Art at Dansens Hus Oslo in 2024.
