Already before the pandemic became the focus of society, Anna Öberg and sound artist Jan Carleklev spent a residency in Värnamo examining humans need for contact and physical encounters, as well how repeated boredom can be turned into fascination of the usually hidden. I.e how we, by seeing, feeling and listening more carefully or in other ways, can experience the ordinary differently.

Because of Covid 19 the work had to find other formats, but those limitations also brought new relevance to the research since we were suddenly all in a situation where distance, loneliness and boredom had become part of everyday life. LEDA, as an online performance, became the result of those experiences.

Premiere: September 3 2020, Konstfabriken Gislaved, Sweden (online)
